Nearer and Nearer

In 12 days I will be back in civilization. 

I'm stoked. 

This has been a summer of a lifetime. 

One I won't forget. But, I'm ready to come home.

I Found a Stump

I found a stump. 

Near the motel. 

Where internet access lives. 

and I am happy. 

I like feeling connected to civilization. Well.. most of the time. 

Anyways, I had a day off on Monday and 

it. was. EPIC. 

One of the best days of my life. No lie. Serious as a heart attack.

 Anywho it went a little like this: Sleeeeeep. I got more sleep than usual and shoot was it great.

 A Mini Road Trip. We drove down to Zion National Park and dude. I'm in LOVE.

 Hiking. We hiked Angels Landing and I'm speechless. All of my pictures can do the talking.  

Lots of people liked to stop at this point...but we wanted to go up to the very tip top

FINALLY!

 and have been surviving. 

The internet here doesn't really work...so in order to save my sanity blogging might have to be postponed for a while because it seriously took over 10 minutes to load this page...and that's even on my fancy schmancy new laptop. Sad deal I know. But, if by chance the internet gods decide to poor down some great internet connection...I will be blogging up a storm.

Refreshing

I'm home. And...it actually feels really good. It's weird because this is usually not the case. I like coming home for a weekend, and then i'm definitely ready when Sunday comes to head back to Provo. But...it was different this time. 

It was the perfect time of night when I got into town. 

Dusk. 

And then I drove by a couple fields with crops sprouting up. 

I rolled down my window and listened to the sound of the wheel line watering. 

I seriously have never felt this way coming back into town. 

Maybe its because

its been over 2 months since I've been home.

The longest I've ever been out of this town. 

I think for the first time in my life I was thankful for:

Rupert. 

It's good to come back every once in a while.

Because this weekend was so warm we headed out to the dam to soak up some sun. 

It was so great. 

It never fails, The Dam is always an awesome place to take some awesome pictures of nature.

If not...here's a few details about the meal.

Steak: cooked in a screaming hot pan, and then topped with lemon zest, thyme, and basil. 

Asparagus: Steamed with garlic and lemon 

Salad: Noodles combined with a Mediterranean vegetable mix, and topped with a lime, cilantro ranch dressing. 

Seriously. SO Divine!

My sister is a gem for coming down and having this splendid meal with me! 

And...for cooking most of it...
