Even More Anticipation Than Christmas.

The sleek white envelope
came yesterday.
When I saw it in the
mailbox, I immediately
ran it upstairs and stuffed
it under my mattress
because I wanted to
open it right then.
7:00 finally came.
Friends gathered,
and family viewed from
various places
thanks to the wonders
of technology.

I was so nervous.
I was nervous about
my reaction.
I was nervous about
where I would be
called to serve for
18 months.
I had no idea what
to expect.

I opened it up
and read it
line
by
line.

Dear Sister Haynes,
You are hearby called to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. You are called to labor in the...
Argentina Rosario Mission

I told myself I wasn't
going to cry.
But, when I started
reading it,
How could I not?
I am called to spread the
gospel to the people of
ARGENTINA.
I am stoked beyond
belief.
I know I am supposed
to go there.
I feel so blessed to
be able to serve the Lord.

I guess this face has Argentina written
all over it. :)

Let's create our own Spring Break yeah?

I love BYU and all but shoot,
what was Cecil thinking when
he didn't add a Spring Break
into the schedule?!
Anywho, me and Jam Jam
decided to make our own.
We headed down to Moab
with some of Gaff's roommates
and friends.
It was seriously the best.
But, might have not been
the best thing.
Because seriously
all I want to do
is hike
in the sun
with my Chacos.

Wedding Bells and Sunshine.

Ty Ty is a married man!
I love him and I love Neelam so much.
and I love that they chose to get married
in AZ so I could get some sun for a
couple of days.

 On the drive home,
we watched the sun set
over the Hoover Dam.
Beautiful.

Lovebirds.

The Power of the Atonement

I came across this video
and fell in love with it.
It is so powerful
Although it is
relating to missionary work,
it can be applicable to all
aspects of our lives.
I know the atonement
is real.
I know that Christ suffered
for my sins, doubts, disappointments,
shortcomings, fears, follies.
He has experienced everything I have,
but on a much higher degree.

The Farm Life

Last night, me, Holly, and Landon
needed some adventure
and because we're in Rupert,
there were few options.
We chose to go out to the
dairy and explore a little bit.
I drank milk from the tanks, and
it was DANG GOOD.

Then, I milked a cow.
Pretty great I must say.

and then we went on saw
the baby calves.
I LOVED THIS.
They were the sweetest things ever.
I didn't want to leave.
All of the calves had been
born that day, and one of them
was born within five minutes of
us getting there.
We were able to see it take
its first steps, and
it was one of the coolest things.

After the dairy, I was
still in need of some adventure,
so we drove over to the sheep
and explored over there a bit.
The baby lambs were so adorable.
I loved them so much
and tried to sneak one home.
Seeing those little animals so
soon after being born just was
something else.
It made me so happy, and
made me realize there are so
many things in the world that
I take for granted.

A great weekend.
and HEY!
The. papers. are DONE.

Bitter-Sweet

Last night was the
BYU vs. Gonzaga game
and shoot it was great.
Gonzaga is currently #2
and the Cougs put up a
good fight but ended up
falling short.
Anywho, halfway through
the game, we realized
that this would be our
last basketball game
all together as roomies.
It's crazy how we're all
going our separate ways.
It's kind of sad, but
we are all embarking on such
awesome things.

Power couple yeah?

Crew for the night.
