Iowa {Pt. 1}

It's crazy to think that Jamie is a married woman now.
We all headed out to Iowa
to be with her and Gaff on their big day.
It's about a 14 hour drive out.
I almost shot myself.
But, once we arrived,
the tour of the great Midwest began.

I'm not going to lie.
I was skeptical about Iowa (and Nebraska).
But, it proved me wrong.
It's so green
and has rolling hills.
No mountains either,
so you can see for miles.

On the first night there,
we headed into Omaha, NE.

Omaha is so hip, so with it, so now.

No, but really.

We stopped of at the Pedestrian Bridge
(The lovely location of Jamie and Gaff's Engagement)
It's a bridge that covers the Missouri River
and is in both Nebraska and Iowa.

And you can see the stadium for the
College World Series from it.
Pretty sweet.

Then we headed to The Old Market.
Favorite part of Omaha.
It had cobble stone roads!
There are tons of shops
grills,
restaurants,
candy shops,
ice cream shops,
bars,
pubs.
You name it,
it was there.
Free pie even!

About a block away from The Old Market
is the Wax Slides.
They are just your regular, metal slides.
BUT...when you ride down them with
wax paper, everything changes.
Quite the thrill ride if you ask me.

Omaha, I like you a lot.
Let's play again soon yeah?
